And so the tattoo project continues.
I met this wonderful individual during a 6am metro ride to work. I sleepily introduced myself and my ideas for this tattoo project that I’m still developing. Fortunately she didnt think I was a creeper, we had a few email convos about ideas then we shot.
I recently told myself that I’ve specifically wanted to work with people who are not models. One because I am working my my direction and ability to pose. Two, it feels more organic and three is challenges me to step out of my comfort zone and approach strangers. One of my favorite things about working with Caroline was her confidence, willingness to open up and fearlessness in front of the camera. It was effortless working with her and looking forward to a round 2 down the line.
I had my ever so faithful MUA, Salsa take care of makeup and outfits we chosen by Caroline. That first black dress, from American Apparel was cute, sexy yet very stylish and perfectly showed off her back tattoo.
A bit about lighting: Natural window light on a cloudy day (camera set to cloudy white balance). Outdoors: mostly cloudy, no reflectors.
